Bio

I feel privileged to share with you a fragment of myself, through the eyes of my poetry.  On this site, you will find a collection of poems, written by me, throughout my life.  These poems reveal the emotions drawn out of me, through my life experiences and/or the life experiences of others, who have conveyed their feelings to me.

My hope is that you connect to and are blessed by my writing.  I want to show that whatever you may go through in life, there is understanding and grace, given to us by our Lord, Jesus Christ. Even when other's don't want to hear our sob-story, God does! Our true feelings matter to God!

David wrote in Psalm 51:16-17

"You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.  My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise."

​

God desires our honesty, whether we resound pain, anger, joy, awe, hope or love.  God accepts our repentance and humility, as we recognize how much we need his guidance everyday.  We must know ourselves and our weaknesses, as we acknowledge our true feelings to him.  Poetry is what I use, to keep myself honest with God.  Also, poetry is what I use, to teach others to look at themselves and not only sort through their own feelings but recognize and care about the feelings of other people.

My Christian faith is paramount in my poetry because I believe in the life-giving, hope-filled teachings of Jesus Christ and I believe that the Bible, in it's entirety, is the holy, written word of God.
