Sly Alibi

The devil, is so pretty!
Lustrous jewels, his disguise!
He shines throughout the city,
throwing morsels, of his pride!

We lick them up! No questions!
Then shoot arrows, through our eyes!
Our breath is filled with vengeance,
making him, our alibi!

We cling to our emotion,
putting it, upon the throne!
We leave the gate wide open!
Our heart's now, a danger zone!

We sing our praise to Heaven...
but our incense, stays within!
God won't accept our offering,
when we choose to covet sin!

Make right, your heart, before him!
Don't get stuck in foolish pride!
Be aware of all your flaws,
battling the flesh, inside!

For, righteous, is a bold man...
who stands firmly on the Word,
making conscious, every thought,
not just seen and not just heard!
