Desert Walking

There's no use complaining, in the desert, if you're there!
You'll stoke up God's anger and you'll fall into despair!
The tempter comes to tease you, with the words, "It's not fair!"
Yet, God's always leading, even when you're unaware!

There's a time of waiting...and your life can seem so dry!
Praise the name of Jesus, even when you don't know why!
God holds all the answers and His promises are true!
You persevere through dark times, as He's preparing you!

Stand upon God's word and let His wisdom fill your heart!
For Jesus knows in full, what you only know, in part!
One day, you'll see so clearly, through all the bumps and turns,
God knows just how to guide you! He knows how his sheep learn!

Give your cares to Jesus and believe, He'll see you through!
Looking toward Heaven, takes the focus, off of you!
Stop looking around you and at all the faults of man!
If you let judgement blind you, you'll never understand!

When you abide in love, like the God, who first loved you,
His floodgates will open and His peace will filter through!
