The Hard Climb

I'm trying to climb a mountain! Rocks are rolling, underfoot!
Strong winds are pushing against me, loudly roaring, "You stay put!"

Mockers, standing on the sidelines are laughing at my attempt...
but they can't see inside me, forgiving them, for their contempt!

I'm determined, hiking forward! My legs, shaking from the pain!
Though, I'm feeling a bit lonely, I'm not doing this in vain!

There's a purpose, set before me, following, God's righteous plan!
I'm enduring all these hardships, knowing, I don't understand!

Though betrayers come against me, in white, wool coats, like fresh snow,
I'm believing in the promise, God had given, long ago!
