Sleeping Giant

When I was humbly praying,
I found tunnels in my heart,
with storage rooms, full of secrets,
broken things, I tore apart.

I left them there, unaware,
wondering why I felt weighed down.
Jesus, in my silence,
I can feel, you're around.

Oh God, if I was reckless,
here's my heart! I want it speckless!
Don't let me fall! Don't let me fall!
Don't let me fall!

Am I the sleeping
giant, from my dream?
There was violence all around!
Yet, she couldn't hear them scream!

God whispered down from Heaven,
to tell her, who she was...
but when she opened up her eyes,
her mind was in a fuzz.

She didn't know her purpose!
She couldn't see her place!
Forgetting what God said to her,
she slowly died away!

And her heart had bled,
as she slept through the bloodshed!
Yes, her heart had bled...
sleeping through the bloodshed!
